1. Data We Collect

When you join our waitlist, we may collect:

• Email address
• Name, role, and company (if provided)
• Product interest and signup source
• Basic operational metadata (e.g., timestamp)

When you endorse the manifesto, we collect:

• Your name and email address
• Your role or organization and a sentence on why you signed (if provided)
• Whether you chose a public or anonymous listing, and the signup source

2. How We Use Data

• Send launch updates and beta invitations (waitlist, or endorsement opt-in only)
• Prioritize onboarding waves and product research
• Publish endorsements you chose to list publicly - your name, and your role and quote if you gave them - on the endorsement page, after hand verification. Your email address is never published.
• Prevent abuse and protect service integrity

3. Data Sharing & Processors

We do not sell personal data. We use secure processors to operate our services under contractual controls: our site runs on Vercel, and waitlist and endorsement submissions are stored in a private GitHub repository (GitHub acts as a processor for that data).

4. Data Retention

Waitlist data is retained only as long as needed for launch communication, product planning, and legal obligations. Endorsements are retained while they are listed; anonymous signatures are kept only as a count.

5. Your Choices

You can request access, correction, or deletion of your data via our contact page. To remove an endorsement, email hello@kumbat.io and we take it down - no questions. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.

6. Updates

We may update this policy as our products evolve. Material updates will be posted on this page with a revised date.
