The Endorsement

Put your name on it.

Energy ≠ time. Software and workplaces should adapt to real cognitive capacity — not demand that people pretend theirs is constant.

If you agree, sign. That's the whole ask.

The Position — what you are signing

You are endorsing a position, not a company:

  1. 1
    Energy ≠ time.

Hours present do not equal productive output. ph ≤ wh — always.

  2. 2
    Cognitive capacity varies.

Across a day, a week, a life. Variability is normal, not a defect.

  3. 3
    Default-brain design fails people.

Systems built for one brain with stable attention and energy fail millions — including people with ADHD, autism, depression, and chronic fatigue — and produce worse outcomes even for those they technically fit.

  4. 4
    Software should adapt to people.

    Not the other way around.

  5. 5
    This is engineering, not charity.

Building for variable capacity is practical, measurable design work — and it makes products better for everyone.

What signing means

  • What you give: your name. Optionally your role or organization, and one sentence on why you signed.
  • What we do with it: list it publicly on this page, with the others, after verifying it by hand. That's it.
  • What we don't do: no newsletter, no follow-up asks, no sharing your email with anyone. Build updates are a separate checkbox — unchecked by default.
  • Changed your mind? Email hello@kumbat.io and we remove you. No questions.

The list is young. Early names carry the most weight — if the position reads true to you, yours belongs here.

Questions

Is this a petition?
No. Nothing is being demanded of anyone. It is a public record of people who share a position, so the position travels further than one company saying it.
Am I endorsing Kumbatio’s products?
No. You are endorsing the position above. Kumbatio builds open-source tools that implement it, but your signature attaches to the argument, not the software.
Does signing commit me to anything?
No. It is complete the moment you sign. Anything more — trying the SDK, sponsoring, piloting — is a separate, optional decision later.
Can organizations sign?
Yes. Use the organization’s name and have someone authorized submit it.
What will you build with this list?
Credibility for the position — in press, grant applications, and the case for a neuroinclusive-web standard. Signatories get asked nothing further unless they opted into updates.

Kumbatio products support self-management, workflow, and cognitive energy awareness. They are not medical diagnosis tools or treatment, and are not a replacement for professional mental health support.
